A lot of people are scared when they first hear the term 'partner'. But what is it exactly? Partnering with someone to learn about something new can be considered a type of relationship. This article will provide you with 37 different ways to partner up in order to learn or master a new skill. It's no surprise that you might find yourself at a loss for words in public, events, or even writing assignments. If you're struggling, try these exercises out and see how your confidence level goes through the roof! You will not only feel much more prepared for public speaking and presentations but also stronger in terms of your resume and personal branding. 1. Speech Partners- Choose someone that you know has the same goals as you, this helps with accountability. A speech partner can help with practicing public speaking or just having someone to bounce off ideas, share ideas and provide feedback on your speeches. 2. Chess Partners- Playing chess with your partner is fun and helps with communication and problem solving skills. Play a match before a speech presentation to get your mind working on other things rather than all of the pressure from having to speak in front of others. 3. Date Partners- Try going on a date with a friend that has similar interests as you or someone that will help to stretch your comfort level if needed. This gives you the opportunity to feel more comfortable in talking about something different from what you would normally do. 4. Reading Partners- This one is a bit weird but reading partners are awesome! I got one through my school and we both shared our reading lists from class and students from around the world would read the same book and discuss it online at a set time each week. Definitely a fun way to learn! Try finding someone who likes to read as much as you or just really enjoys learning new topics. 5. Volunteering Partners- Volunteering with others is an excellent way to start joining in on the community and meeting other like-minded people. Whether you sign up for short term projects or long term volunteer opportunities, you are sure to meet some great people that can help ease your fears in being more active in your community. 6. Writing Partners- Find a writing partner that will help to read over your assignments or papers for grammar mistakes or just someone who will have an honest opinion on your work. Having someone to talk things over with will make you feel more confident about your work and can give you great feedback. 7. Cooking Partners- Cooking with another person will help to expand your skill-set and keep you accountable. It's also fun to get someone involved in what you're making and share your new creations. If you're looking for a challenge, try making dishes that are harder for yourself like cooking without salt, sugar or fat. 8. cfa1e77820
